Komnata is a web application for running a restaurant: menu, tables, orders, bills and staff accounts. Features available to a restaurant depend on the plan assigned to it and on any add-on modules enabled for that plan.
Accounts
Accounts are created by invitation. There is no self-service sign-up: a restaurant is activated by us, and the owner receives an activation link by email. The person who receives that link is responsible for the password they set and for the staff accounts they create afterwards. Tell us at [email protected] if you believe an account has been used without permission.
Demo restaurants
A demo restaurant is provided so you can try the product. It runs on the demo plan and its limits are the limits of that plan. A demo is temporary: it stays available for the period shown when it is created and is removed afterwards, together with the data entered into it. Demos are not intended for real service and come with no availability commitment.
Plans, add-ons and payment
Plans and add-ons are set up for each restaurant by us; there is no purchase or payment step inside the application. Prices, billing period and any credits or adjustments are agreed with you and recorded by us. Unpaid balances may lead to the account being suspended after we have told you about it.
Acceptable use
Do not use the service to break the law, to store content you have no right to store, or to attempt to gain access to other restaurants' data. Do not try to disrupt or overload the service. We may suspend an account that does these things.
Your data
The operational data a restaurant enters belongs to that restaurant. We process it in order to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. On request we will return an export of the restaurant's data before an account is closed.
Availability and liability
We work to keep the service available and to fix faults promptly, but we do not promise uninterrupted service. Maintenance windows and third-party outages can interrupt access. To the extent the law allows, our liability is limited to the fees paid for the service in the period concerned; we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss.
Ending the agreement
You can ask us to close an account at any time. We can end the agreement if these terms are broken or if fees remain unpaid after notice. When an account is closed, access stops and the data is deleted after a short retention period.
Changes
We may update these terms. If a change is material we will tell the restaurant's contact address before it takes effect, and the date at the top of this page will change.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
